We are seeking motivated and creative scientists to join the Cancer Ecology Center to study the role of the polyaneuploid cancer cell state in lethal cancer.

Ph.D. graduate students

We accept rotation students from graduate programs Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Pathobiology, and Pharmacology. Email us to set up an initial meeting.

Postdoctoral fellows

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic critical thinker and motivated creative scientist who is interested in cancer biology and strategies for treatment. The candidate will be expected to think creatively and work independently, as well as be a leader in our laboratory consisting of multiple graduate students and research staff. The lab environment provides an exceptional opportunity for state-of-the-art research for an ambitious fellow. The fellow is expected to be self-motivated, organized, and team player. Undergraduate students

Summer Urological Research Experience (SURE):
Dr. Sarah Amend is Director of the Brady Urological Institute’s summer internship program. SURE is a 10-week paid mentored research experience. Students from colleges with limited opportunity for research and students from groups historically underrepresented in science (including immigrants, first-generation students, women, and underrepresented minorities) are especially encouraged to apply. Academic year research:
We accept motivated undergraduate students who are able to commit in-lab research multiple hours/week for multiple consecutive years. Undergraduate research opportunities are open to any local Baltimore colleges and universities. Prior experience is not required, enthusiasm and commitment to learn is essential.
